Chess at the Helm as the Bell leaves Port for the Parade of Sail. Tall ships from around the world arrived in Hampton Roads for OPSAIL 2012 - each ship escorted by one of the Sailing Clubs/associations in the Tidewater Area. Navy Sailing escorted the 4-masted 370ft Spanish schooner Juan sebastian De Elcano. The Belle looked classy, sailed great, and crew had a fabulous time as hundreds of sailboats converged on Norfolk's Waterside area. With Fireboat sprays and jet overflights setting the stage, the mighty sailboat procession was an experience to remember.
