4-6 June, Norfolk Harbor Fest

We got a late start headed south from the Navy Base to Norfolk for the annual Harbor Fest. This year about 3-400 boats participated in the activities across the weekend, from the Parade of Sail, to the raft-ups, to the demos and boat shows, to the 100 or more anchored off Hospital Point along with The Belle.  The sun was setting as we closed on the anchorage.  It took two runs setting the anchor in the gooie seabed; with 100' of chain out, we were going now where.  Took no time for the dingys to get underway between boats as new and old friends got together again.  Fabulous fireworks show as usual.  For sure a keeper for 2015 again!
